Oshi, at Park Inn Hotel, Buchanan Bus Station

cheap voucher from Groupon (£8 for £20 worth of food) pushed us in the right direction to try this place out

Twice baked smoked Arran cheddar soufflé on an apple and thyme compote with apple wafers and mulled wine syrup (v) £3.25 didn’t get a very cheesy taste, and I know Arran do some good cheese.  Too much air and not enough taste and was tepid.

Classic Cullen skink with warm bread roll £3.65 (from what looked like Lidl rolls)  One piece of smoked fish and perfectly diced potato – which isnt always good.  Nice taste but a bit watery.

Venison and haggis wellington, truffle douchess, wild mushroom skirly and a rich port reduction £17.50

Griddled breast of guinea fowl with fondant beetroot, Stornoway black pudding and pear brandy café au lait £13.50
– one breast was lovely and moist the other pretty dry.  Had tatties as a side which were lovely.  Silly little veg balls were tepid 😦

Looks like a hotel restaurant and feels like it too.  Considering there were only 5 of us in the place it still took 45mins for our mains to arrive!  Some of the tables also had the technical assistance of a wee bit of paper under them to keep them steady 😦  There’s no way the food was worth the original pricing.

Average food in hotel surroundings 😦
