Location:-

Lovely little bar with friendly staff. Two real fires to keep you warm and cosy.

on Tap
Crannog, Highlanders, Bulmers, McEwans, 80 shilling, Strongbow, John Smiths, Guinness and Fosters.

Good Whisky selection too

Toilets were modern and clean

Food selection looked good with locals coming in for some food – Soaves Ice Cream, Lamb Curry, Gammon Steak, Smoked Haddock and Stornoway Black Pudding.

Just arrived back from a self catering holiday about a gentle lochside mile’s walk away from Furnace. Was really looking forward to spending time throughout the week in this pub. Was informed by a local in the post office however it no longer does food and is only open on weekends. As the only pub around for miles I was very disappointed that internet sites and even our landlady hadnt been updated. Further consideration to our holiday location choice would have been on the cards for certain. Consequently many nights either sat in our cabin or a journey into Inverary (which is also poorly serviced by drinking establishments) and one of our party unable to drink as public transport is rubbish and therefore involved a lengthy car journey. No respite from midgies and lack of local distractions/entertainment of an evening. We were really relying on this pub but never got to even see it open!!!
