Art Lovers’ Cafe, House for an Art Lover, Bellahouston Park,Glasgow

Update:August 2011

Took the man to the cafe as he hadn’t been.  Considering the weather was foul the cafe was full to the brim and we had to go and sit in the side meeting room.  Still nice to sit in, if not as pretty and no good view.  Nice lighting, photos and peaceful.

Two pots of earl grey, fruit scone with jam n cream and a banana and walnut cake £8.70.  Tea could’ve been more earl greyey however the cakes were delish.  Scone was much better than last time and even warm!    Service was quick but not instrusive.  Much happier this time 🙂  Recommend for a lunch with the girls, mums and in-laws especially.

£8.40 for two scones with jam and clotted cream, pot of tea and a small cafetiere of coffee (and those wee biccies you get with coffee that I forget the name of at the moment). Yet another hmmm from me and the mother. Scone tasted like it was made yesterday or was sat near a hotplate 😦 Lovely jam and cream. Good coffee and a nice big pot of tea. Lunches smelled lovely (£13.50 for three courses so not too bad)

I had a lovely lunch there (though back in 2005) with steak on focaccia bread (sorry about the spelling) and a wonderful dessert, I unfortunately forgot the name of, but it was mouthwatering. Service was quick, very polite and very lovely to talk to indeed! Would go back in an instant!

Your scone looks like a wee dog!
